Although there is no shortage of media players on the Internet, it can be a bit difficult to decide which one to use most of the time. A good choice is Daum PotPlayer. It supports all popular media formats and it provides numerous features. You may create several playlists, apply various filters on videos and much more.

Like most media players, Daum PotPlayer is absolutely free. It works on all modern Windows platforms and it can be installed in less than a minute. Besides installing the software itself, you can also install additional visualizations, include PotPlayer live files and associate the player with all supported media files or only important ones.

It should not take long to get used to the layout of the main user interface. All important options, from playback controls to various equalizers, are placed right in front of you. You can add media files to a playlist, on the right side of the interface, with standard browsing options or by dragging and dropping the files.

It is also possible to save and load playlists. Daum PotPlayer is compatible with various playlist formats, including M3U, ASX or DPL. Furthermore, the software allows you to create and manage several playlists at the same time, on separate tabs. Besides standard playlists, you can also create file navigators, which display a folder's media files, as well as its sub-folders.

While playing a video, you may click one of the buttons from the lower edge of the interface and select various options to flip, mirror or rotate the video playback, enable auto level control, denoise 3D videos and much more. You can also control subtitles, select different audio channels and perform other actions, with other options, located in the same area of the interface. The player's equalizer can be configured manually or you can select one of many presets. Additionally, you can adjust a video's brightness and contrast, move and synchronize subtitles, change the playback speed and reconfigure the aspect ratio.
